The new homemade bicycle is rolling

The new bike is rolling and it’s a little weird. I’ve pushed the head tube angle back to full height on the forks but I think the soft forks and big, squishy tires are giving the front end a very heavy feel. I’m not too worried as it is rideable and it’s built to be a cruiser.

Lots of details left to sort out, but it’s coming along. A friend of mine is going to make some wooden fill panels for in the frame and possibly a wood seat and headlight. I’m thinking a metallic root beer brown at this point, but we’ll see.

My TIG welding’s looking better – although these straight flat lines are easier to do than the curves of the tubes. It’s all good practice.
